Portfolio - Marketing Copy, Informative Articles, Graphic Design Projects, and Beyond

Marketing Copy

The bulk of my marketing copy is written in the form of product pages. As I have written a total of over 3,000+ product pages, there are far too many to put into one document. Therefore, I've chosen and compiled what I believe to be some of my very best write-ups. You can find these at the link below.

Below is the rest of my portfolio, which includes company biography boilerplates, bylined and non-bylined marketing articles, and my favorite graphic design projects.

Company Biography Boilerplates

OWC: facilitating technological efficiency since 1988

Technology is a fundamental asset to every producer, musician, and performer. OWC has devoted decades to providing a granular and helpful approach to this necessity. Through countless hours of research, design, and construction, the company offers an inventory of specifically built SSDs, memory, docks, batteries, and other computing accessories to help users achieve seamless technological operation. At the same time, OWC provides top-notch support and expertise, giving you less time to worry about the specifics and, in turn, more opportunities to get to work. With a complementary commitment to reasonable prices, OWC is a vital step to add efficiency, affordability, and reliability to your workflow.

Ernie Ball: championing string design since 1962

When Ernie Ball released his first set of Rock N Roll guitar strings in 1962, the goal was simple: to provide custom string sets for newcomer musicians and gauge-particular players. Little did he know that this mindset would lead to further innovation and diversification, with not only electric guitar string sets but also strings for bass and acoustic guitar. By the turn of the century, Ernie Ball's unwavering commitment to contemporary musicians resulted in the introduction of several new string series. Notable among these were Ernie Ball's acoustic Earthwood strings and the widely popular Slinky family of strings. Today, Ernie Ball strings maintain their iconic status as a go-to choice for guitarists and bassists worldwide, and for good reason. Built to maintain stable performance, tone, and comfort in the face of any playing situation, a fresh pack of Ernie Ball strings doesn't just guarantee great tone - it symbolizes a legacy of musical innovation and creativity.

Hollyland: tech made to inspire

Innovation, building trust, and a sharp focus on customer feedback have been at the forefront of Hollyland's core values since its founding in 2013. The company's diligence, bold vision, and open-minded philosophy have led to a swath of industry-grade wireless creation tools. From intercoms to cameras, accessories, and beyond, each Hollyland product is envisaged through the lens of the user, with careful attention to contemporary design, maximizing workflows, and catering to the granular details modern audio and visual creators require. With expansive plans to ascend to even loftier technological heights, the Hollyland team shows no signs of slowing down - and content creators at Sweetwater are more than excited to experience the journey side by side.

Plugin Alliance: top-tier production tools under one roof

Obtaining all your plug-ins from a single source keeps workflows simple. As it turns out, that's exactly what the bright minds at Plugin Alliance set out to achieve. Over 40 international brands contribute to the Alliance's massive library of virtual instruments, mastering utilities, and related production tools. The result is a convenient one-stop shop for plug-in browsing and activation, allowing you to find and utilize new software as soon as possible. Additionally, Plugin Alliance supports all major plug-in formats, permitting nearly any production artist to take advantage of the company's software inventory. Whether you're a budding creator or seasoned studio expert, efficiency is key - when it comes to digital equipment, Sweetwater producers always turn to Plugin Alliance.

Steve Clayton, Inc.: premium accessories through purposeful design

In a history parallel to Sweetwater's own, Steve Clayton's career began in the back of his van. The budding entrepreneur was busy making the rounds with reputable instrument retailers to offer his elaborate chord-chart posters to emerging musicians. As he commenced building his enterprise from the ground up, a mission became clear: to provide musicians with high-quality, purpose-built tools designed to endure years of rigorous playing. A delicate process of trial and error shifted the company's product focus from guitar guidance to accessories, from initially offering custom guitar slides to the current line of premium, custom-made guitar picks. Today, Steve Clayton, Inc. adheres to its day-one values of quality, innovation, and American craftsmanship, developing top-shelf guitar accessories that allow musicians to hone their skills and perform their best, no matter where their creative ventures may find them.

Graphic Design Projects

As a musician and the owner/operator of my own label, I have spent countless hours designing, editing, and printing various graphics, most of which I have designed entirely myself in GIMP, InkSpace, and other editing softwares. These graphics include but are not limited to: album artwork, event posters, artist logos, and artist lifestyle photographs. Below are some of my most notable.

Cusco

In 2024, I released a cassette re-issue of Cusco's Cusco II album, originally released in 1981 by musicians Michael Holm and Kristian Schultze. With the exception of the original album artwork located on the main panel, the rest of the j-card was designed entirely by myself, including the attached copy on the inner panel.

Slepian

Similar to the Cusco II release, I worked with artist Don Slepian to provide j-card art for a possible re-release of his album Electronic Music From The Rainbow Isle. This included a historical biography as well, located on the j-card's inner panel.

DSN1 DSN2 kyvon

Above are two event posters I created in anticipation for Fort Wayne's monthly Dungeon Synth Night event. Also located above is an artist logo drafted by myself and Ancient Meadow Records - this particular project uses the logo to this day.

driftersgrove

Edited photography and logo submitted as a t-shirt design for a local band. The band ended up using this exact design to create and distribute roughly 100 t-shirts and various merchandise.
